Our Model is Different

We focus on building accessible, proactive ways to protect participants, staff, communities, and institutions and optimize academic and interpersonal growth, not just avoid or address crisis. And within crisis, we emphasize the way all members of a community can support one another for best outcomes.

Embedding mental health-informed programming and supports, improving outcomes.

Mental health visibility has dramatically increased in recent years, perhaps most prominently in students and young people. While schools and universities prioritize students’ mental health and well-being by amplifying awareness and incorporating a myriad of supports on campus, global learning experiences – a model built upon the stress of change – often provide limited mental health support for students or facilitators charged with their care. Mental health care goes beyond crisis management; providers must offer proactive and ongoing support to foster resilience in today’s global education students.

Data shows us that when you address mental health needs across global experiences you will:

  • Increase student satisfaction

  • Increase student lifetime earnings

  • Increase staff retention

  • Increase institutional regard, alumni or other donations, tuition, personal benefits

  • Increase societal benefits (1)

  • Promote Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belongingness by making global education accessible to everyone, despite mental health diagnosis
